The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals introduced a new website designed to help animal welfare professionals share information and increase knowledge. The new site, www.ASPCApro.org, contains articles, statistics and tools from animal welfare experts across the country, and the ASPCA hopes the site will become a learning tool for animal welfare workers and caretakers.
“The ability to collaborate with our peers in animal welfare is a critical factor in building a stronger support system for our nation’s companion animals,” said Ed Sayres, ASPCA president and CEO. “ASPCApro.org is yet another valuable resource that we are proud to offer to animal welfare professionals nationwide — veterinarians, welfare staff, law enforcement officials and volunteers, both present and future — and that I hope will go a long way in providing the information and resources that are so important in elevating animal welfare.”
Site features will include:
- Information on proven adoption strategies
- Articles about feral cat trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs
- ASPCA signature programs, such as the Meet Your Match adoption program
- Updates on the Mission: Orange campaign
As the site grows, the ASPCA will continue to add information. Planned content will include anti-cruelty strategies, animal poison control information and disaster readiness programs.
