At the Cat Fanciers’ Association Annual Awards Banquet, the organization announced the top cats and kittens of the 2006-2007 show season. A copper-eyed white Persian male—GC, BW, NW Melositos White Owl of D’Eden Lover—was awarded Best Cat honors, with judges noting the cat’s wonderful balance, beautiful head and deep copper eye coloring.
GC, NW Enchantdlair NWA Cornflake Girl, a tortoiseshell and white Sphynx female, took home Best Kitten honors. Judges cited her lovely head type, body style and unblemished skin.
GC, GP, NW Fuzzy Foot’s Confetti of Deydream, a calico Manx spay, was awarded the Best Cat in Premiership award. She caught the eye of judges throughout the show season with her perfect head type, superb body conformation and well-marked calico color pattern.
CFA officials also unveiled the top 25 cats in championship, the top 25 kittens and the top 25 cats in premiership (a category reserved for spayed or neutered adult cats). Breed awards were also given for the top three cats in each of the 53 breed/divisions.
