Our pets are just as much a part of the family as anyone else. If its not safe for people to stay, then its not safe for animals to stay.

Lets just hope that the Federal Gvmt. and other agencies respond quicker and with more direct action than they did with the people and pers how suffered with Hurricane Katrina!!!

We are deeply concerned about all the people and pets that have either lost or evacuated their homes, unknowing what they might or might not come back to. We thank CC and the great sponsers who are offering help. We have Red Cross people going to So. Calif. from CT on tomorrow's plane. We wish mobilization was swifter for remote expert and caring volunteers. Hope there is a better job done in So. Calif. for this disaster than was done, expecially by the Fed. Govt. in the New Orleans disaster which was late in coming and not 'up to the task'.
