| Chinese woman’s cat has two unusual growths on its back. |
A woman in China has a cat that grew a pair of 4-inch “wings.”
The woman, known only as Granny Feng, said she thinks the growths give her cat an angel-like appearance.
Granny Feng said the wings began to sprout after the cat was approached by female felines wanting to mate.
“A month ago, many female cats in heat came to harass him, and then the wings started to grow,” the woman told the Huashang News.
“At first, they were just two bumps, but they started to grow quickly and after a month there were two wings,” she told the newspaper.
The wings contain bone. According to Chinese experts, the unusual growths are the result of a genetic mutation and should have no significant bearing on the cat’s life.
