The Petco Foundation Tree of Hope fundraiser helps homeless companion animals. As pet owners gift shop for their cats and dogs this holiday season, they can make a difference in the lives of homeless companion animals. Now through Dec. 24, Petco customers can purchase card ornaments in $1, $5, $10 and $20 denominations, with the funds donated to local animal shelters. Customers that donate $20 or more will receive a gift card holder that also functions as a photo-frame ornament.

The Petco Foundation’s annual Tree of Hope fundraiser supports animal welfare organizations and animal shelters through the in-store and online efforts. Each Petco store chooses a local organization as a beneficiary and collects donations on that group’s behalf.

“There are thousands of animals across the country that will benefit from our store visitors’ generosity,” said Paul Jolly, Petco Foundation vice president and director. “We’re deeply grateful to be able to organize and distribute this collection effort each year on behalf of all of those animals who depend on us for their well-being.”
