“Miss Potter” Comes to Theaters

Renee Zellweger portrays the beloved author Beatrix Potter in the movie “Miss Potter” that will be in theaters Dec. 29th.

“Miss Potter” hits theaters Dec. 29.Beatrix Potter charmed children and adults alike with her tales of Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and Tom Kitten, among other small animals. Now Renee Zellweger will portray the famous author in the upcoming movie, “Miss Potter,” scheduled for release in theaters Dec. 29th.

Set in London and the Lake District in 1902, the film follows Potter’s journey to becoming one of the most popular children’s authors of the 20th century. Potter challenged the Victorian traditions of her time, following her desire to publish her stories and falling in love with her publisher.

The movie is directed by Chris Noonan, and Zellweger’s costars include Emily Watson, as Millie Warne and Ewan McGregor. McGregor portrays Beatrix Potter’s publisher and love interest, Norman Warne. Ironically, one of Potter’s characters in The Tale of Peter Rabbit is named Mr. McGregor.

Miss Potter is distributed by MGM Distribution Co., and is executive produced by Renee Zellweger.
