Cat Plays Piano

Australian Cat Plays Piano

A gray tabby cat, Nora, performs regularly, according to her owners.

Burnell Yow and Betsy Alexander never expected that their cat, Nora, had such a musical gift when they brought her home from the shelter.
"We had heard our other cat Gabby walk on the keys in the past, but this was repeated notes. So we got up and ran downstairs and there was Nora sitting in perfect posture with her two paws on the piano. She just sat there and looked at us,” Alexander said in an article for the Sydney Morning Herald. “We praised her and she continued. We were laughing and telling her what a good girl she was. We did not know that it was going to become a habit.”

She has practiced the piano every day for about a year now, her owners said, without any encouragement.

Nora, who is 3 years old, has become an international celebrity, thanks to the website YouTube.com. Click here to see one of
Nora’s performances.

What a cute kitty! The musical "talent" of the kitties here in my house is limited to meowing in sync when I'm late with the cat food!
