The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is accepting “extraordinary pet” nominations for its annual Humane Awards.
Nomination categories include Cat of the Year and Dog of the Year, and awards are based on animals’ heroic acts that have occurred within the past year. Winners of the nationwide contest will be invited to attend the Humane Awards Luncheon in New York City on Nov. 1.
The nomination deadline is Aug. 15 at noon (EST), and winners will be chosen by a committee selected by the ASPCA.
