Will the Louisiana State University Tiger emerge as America’s favorite team mascot? Or will Northwestern’s Wildcat take the top spot? Jeff Corwin and Lee Corso will count down the top college team animal mascots during “Mascot Madness.”

Visitors to the Animal Planet website during the last few months were invited to rate 15 animal mascots on a scale of one to 10. Included in the 15 mascots were the Louisiana State University Tiger, the Northwestern Wildcat and the Penn State Nittany Lion.

Corwin and Corso will reveal the voting results, assisted by six college team mascots: Buzz the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket, Testudo the Maryland Terrapin, Bucky the Wisconsin Badger, the Cincinnati Bearcat, the Horned Frog of Texas Christian University and Peter the Anteater from the University of California at Irvine. The hosts also will share interesting facts about the species represented by the mascots.
