| Viewers can follow the adventures of the Whiskers in the third season of “Meerkat Manor.” |
The Whiskers tribe of meerkats were evicted from their manor by a rival gang — the Commandos — at the end of the last season of “Meerkat Manor.” What will happen to this family next? Viewers will find out on August 10, when the third season of “Meerkat Manor” debuts on the Animal Planet network.
“Meerkat Manor” follows the lives of several mobs of meerkats living in Africa’s Kalahari Desert. Filmed with the assistance of Cambridge University, which is conducting a 10-year study on the animals, the series keeps tabs on several families of meerkats: the Whiskers, the Zappa, the Starsky and the Commandos.
Over the course of the third season, “Meerkat Manor” will reveal how the Whiskers find a new home and establish a new territory. Viewers will meet the Zappas, characterized as the “neighbors from hell.” And a new tribe, the Starsky, will try to establish dominance in the desert.
