Morris the cat joined celebrity Audrina Patridge in Santa Monica on Sept. 20 as the star of MTV’s series “The Hills” adopted the 500,000th cat in the 9Lives Morris’ Million Cat Rescue adoption campaign. Patridge also participated in a check-donation ceremony, with 9Lives donating $10,000 in her name to Feline and Friends, a Southern California animal shelter, to help the shelter continue to find loving homes for homeless cats.
“9Lives is excited to celebrate this important milestone in Los Angeles, almost a year to the date since the kick-off of Morris’ Million Cat Rescue last September,” said Ryan Thomas, 9Lives brand manager. “Morris the cat has spent a large part of his career working in Hollywood, and currently resides in Los Angeles; the city has genuine importance to him and now he wants to give back.”
While in California, Morris’ Million Cat Rescue tour will stop in San Francisco on Sept. 27 and Sacramento on Oct. 3. Other upcoming stops include Portland on Oct. 11, Seattle on Oct. 18 and Denver on Oct. 27. For more information about the Million Cat Rescue campaign, visit the 9Lives website.
