To recognize the special role veterinarians play in the lives of cats and dogs, Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions of southern Nevada will sponsor the Honor Your Pet’s Vet campaign. For a minimum donation of $5, the organization will mail Valentine’s Day or National Doctors’ Day cards to southern Nevada vets between Feb. 12 and March 30, 2008.
“It takes a special person to take care of our pets in happy times and not so happy times; but as pet parents we love our veterinarians year round,” said Carol Fox, Homeward Bound cofounder and president. “What better time than Valentine’s Day and National Doctors’ Day to show appreciation to these special doctors?”
Submission forms can be downloaded from the Homeward Bound website. Forms should be filled out and mailed with the donation to Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions, P.O. Box 60025, Las Vegas, NV 89160-0025. All proceeds from the campaign will benefit Homeward Bound’s adoption programs.
