The Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary plans to find new families for homeless pets at the “A New Year, a New Home” adoption event on Saturday, Jan. 12. Thirteen cats and seven dogs that have lived at the sanctuary for almost a year will be available for adoption at the Friends for Life facility in Gilbert, Ariz.
“These are fantastic animals,” Erica Wellman, a Friends for Life on-site caregiver, said. “It’s difficult to understand why they are still waiting for their adoptive families.”
While the special adoption event takes place at the sanctuary, other adoptable animals from the shelter will travel to the PetsMart Luv-a-Pet adoption center at the PetsMart located on Stapley Drive in Gilbert. Potential pet owners can stop by the store from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 12 and Jan. 13.
