The ASPCA announced this week that Isaac Mizrahi, fashion designer, has selected the humane organization as the beneficiary of his participation on Celebrity Jeopardy. The episode featuring Mizrahi is scheduled to air on Nov. 14 as part of a two-week special celebrity competition.
With Mizrahi’s participation on the show, the ASPCA will receive a guaranteed donation of $25,000. The funds will be used to help the organization continue to provide programs to help prevent animal cruelty.
“The generosity of people like Mr. Mizrahi is what enables the ASPCA to continue its life-saving work, and we thank him,” said Ed Sayres, ASPCA president and CEO. “It is also deeply gratifying that as the oldest animal welfare organization in this country, we are on the radar screen of one of the best-known fashion icons of our time.”
Mizrahi will compete against Soledad O’Brien of CNN’s American Morning and Harry Shearer, actor, writer and producer. For more information about show times and channels, visit the Jeopardy website.
