LeAnn Rimes is a celebrity judge for The Goodlife Recipe Pet Care Company's online pet video contest

LeAnn Rimes will serve as celebrity judge in The Goodlife Recipe Pet Care Company's video competition of people with their pets.

The Goodlife Recipe Pet Care Co., a Franklin, Tenn.-based unit of Mars PetCare, has tapped recording star LeAnn Rimes as a celebrity judge for its “Here’s to the Goodlife” online pet video contest.

The short videos (60 seconds or less) should show owners and their pets enjoying their lives together. Owners can add music to their videos on the Goodlife website.

The good life indeed, as the winning video will net its owner $10,000 in cash, a year’s supply of Goodlife Recipe products, a donation of a year’s supply of Goodlife Recipe products in the winner’s name to their favorite pet therapy group, and a chance to appear in a commercial.

The runner-up will net $5,000 in cash, the year’s supply of products for themselves and their favorite pet therapy group, and a professional photo shoot (with the possibility of images making it into future marketing campaigns).

The contest will run through Oct. 15, with six finalists winning an all-expenses paid trip to the final selection by Rimes and other judges.

“Pets make our lives better, happier, and I enjoy bragging as much as any pet parent,” Rimes says. “My cats and dogs bring such joy and fun to my life and give me unwavering, unconditional love.”
