Survey finds that owners name cats and dogs after characters, luxury labels.

More pet owners are giving their pet a name that is reflective of pop culture, according to a new survey by pet insurance provider PetFirst Healthcare. Popular pet names included characters from cartoons, sitcoms and movies, as well as brand names of everyday products to luxury labels.

My cat Velcro is named after Velcro because when you hold him, his fur sticks to you like Velcro sticks together. Marlin, my other baby, was named after Nemo's dad in the movie Finding Nemo.
