The following cat food brands have been recalled by their maker, Menu Foods, because of a contamination that could cause kidney failure. The recall is limited to “cuts and gravy” style wet pet food in cans and pouches. Consumers who have one or more of the products being recalled are advised to stop using it immediately, and those who suspect that their pet has eaten tainted food should consult a veterinarian. My Cat almost died of starvation and dehydration from eating Nutro Max Cat Chicken food laced with added Zinc last week. Pet Exreme gave me a credit and told me to report issue to MAX CAT.

Should I be leary of Nutro Max Mini Chunk Chicken food I am feeding my mini Austrialian Shepherd too?

It's hard to believe that so many brands have been affected and even some major ones, such as Iams and Eukanuba. I hope it is possible for us to get the same foods back on the shelves, just not the ones with the rat poison in it. I do believe that it is harmful to feed your pet these foods, so I want everyone to know about the recall. It is really serious to us fellow cat and dog lovers.
