The San Diego Humane Society is seeking photos of cats and dogs for its “Make Your Pet a Pin-Up!” calendar contest. Pet owners can submit photos until August 16, 2007. The entry fee is $25 per photo.
To enter, pet owners can fill out a form found on the San Diego Humane Society’s website and mail it, along with good-quality 4x6 photographs, to San Diego Humane Society, “2008 Calendar Contest,” 5500 Gaines Street, San Diego, CA 92110. Entries must be postmarked by August 16, 2007. High-resolution digital photos can be submitted through the shelter’s website.
The shelter staff will select 12 photos to appear as “pets of the month” as well as several runners-up that will be included as smaller photos in the calendar portion of each month’s page. All other photos will be included in the calendar as part of the “Best Friends Collage.”
Judges will be looking for good-quality 4x6 photographs of cats and dogs that are sharply focused and do not feature subjects other than the animals in the photo. The shelter offers photography tips on the entry form.
