Pet advocate and radio personality, Steve Dale, will serve on the American Humane Association’s board of directors.
Steve Dale, a syndicated pet columnist and radio personality, as well as a special correspondent for CAT FANCY magazine, has joined the American Humane Association’s board of directors.

Dale, of Chicago, is a certified dog and cat behavior consultant and writes a semiweekly syndicated newspaper column for Tribune Media Services. In addition, he is a contributing editor for USA Weekend and an editor of a newsletter for veterinarians, called Paw Prints. His books include American Zoos and DogGone Chicago.

Dale also hosts two syndicated radio shows, Steve Dale’s Pet World and The Pet Minute with Steve Dale, as well as Pet Central on WGN Radio, Chicago.

“We are both honored and excited to have such a highly respected member of the animal welfare community join us,” said Marie Belew Wheatley, the American Humane Association’s president and chief executive officer. “I’m certain that Steve will have an immediate, positive impact on American Humane and the work we do to protect children and animals.”

“It is a huge honor for me to serve on the board of such an organization as the American Humane Association, which has done so much to benefit the welfare of animals for so long. I’m thrilled to be part of the great work that they do,” said Dale.
