Advocates: JFK Feral Cats Will Face Death
Following long negotiations with animal advocates (including the Humane Society of the United States), the Port Authority decided to stop the JFK cat neutering program and focus on rounding up the cats with the intention of getting them off the JFK grounds and into animal shelters, Newsday reports.

Someone at JFK certainly is a dimwit. Shame on them to want these cats destroyed. If a group is willing to neuter/spay them, then that would solve their problem. They will never catch all of the cats and then they will just end up with the same problem.

I was enraged to read of the Port Authority suddenly shifting gears in favor of just rounding up and getting rid of those feral cats. The least they could do would be to transport the colony of ferals to another location, where they might be safer--certainly safer than with the Port Authority. ...I'm liking my own species less and less these days...
