Pet Shop Owner Pleads No Contest to Animal Cruelty
A Lynwood, Calif., pet shop owner charged last year with abusing cats, dogs and other animals — some smothered to death or left to die in trash bins — pleaded no contest Wednesday to animal cruelty charges and could be sentenced to as many as six years in prison, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Firefighters from the city of Weston spent a sopping hour in pouring rain Tuesday trying to extract a kitten squeezed in the undercarriage of a stranger's Volvo. The firefighter/cat story puts me in mind of the time I watched 3 male managers of a local pet store try to catch a very little lizard that had gotten out - the lizard had the upper hand pretty much the whole time. It was hilarious.

I am sooooo happy they caught this cat at the airport and she is back with her owner. You have to really be careful of the cat carriers you buy.
Now I wish they would let us know if the cat that got lose at the subway stations was ever found.

I hope the pet shop owner gets the MAXIMUM sentence on this and he will not be allowed to own any other animals. What a PIG!!!!! Sorry to the pigs for using them to describe this sorry piece of humanity.
