Chewy chocolate and candy corn make these undead fish welcome by anyone with a brain.

What you need:
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup baking cocoa
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• Glass to flatten cookies
• Bowl of white sugar to dip glass into
• Candy corn & chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
You can chill dough for better control, or simply use it now at room temp.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them three inches apart on a parchment sheet-lined, or well-greased, cookie sheet. Dip the bottom of a glass in the sugar, and flatten each round to about a quarter-inch thick.

On each third cookie, slice the dough in half. Pinch the crescent-shaped half cookies against a round cookie so that the curved edges are touching (overlap them slightly in the middle of the curve).
Add candy corn eyes and chocolate-chip fish lips, and bake in a 350-degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
